Family Activities
Family activities in the Peak District vary from theme parks to simply feeding the ducklings down by Bakewell river. There is something for everyone. We have compiled for you a list of some of the best family activities in the local area, and some further afield.
Bakewell Recreation Ground
Keeping close to home, a brisk walk into Bakewell town centre leads you to the local shops and cafes. Keep on walking along the river (via the ice cream van!) to find yourself on the wide recreation grounds which accommodate a children’s play area. Sounds perfect for a picnic and family sports. It is also a dog friendly area.
